Our Wood Finish Coating Process

Pretreatment

The aluminium surface is thoroughly cleaned and treated to ensure strong adhesion and corrosion resistance.

Wood Coating Base Layer

A specially formulated powder is sprayed onto the surface to create a smooth and adhesive base coat — usually in a neutral or wood-compatible color.

Sublimation / Heat Transfer Process

Using sublimation technology, wood grain patterns are transferred onto the coated aluminium using high-temperature vacuum heat. This results in an incredibly realistic wood appearance with depth, texture, and intricate grain lines.

Why Wood Finish Matters

Surface Preparation

The aluminium surface is thoroughly cleaned, degreased, and chemically treated to remove impurities and ensure proper adhesion of the coating.

Base Coat Application

A high-quality powder base coat (usually in a light color) is evenly applied to the aluminium surface and then baked to form a smooth, durable foundation.

Sublimation Film Wrapping

A special heat-resistant film printed with the desired wood grain pattern is wrapped tightly around the coated aluminium profile.

Heat Transfer (Curing)

The wrapped aluminium is heated in a curing oven, allowing the wood pattern from the film to transfer and fuse onto the surface through sublimation.

Film Removal and Inspection

After cooling, the film is removed, revealing a realistic wood-grain finish. Each piece is inspected for color uniformity, texture quality, and overall finish before delivery.

Sublimation Process

160–200°C for 10–15 mins; ink turns to gas and penetrates base.

Final Curing & Cooling

Post-sublimation curing and cooling chamber to stabilize parts.
